Your Questions About Bacterial Vaginosis Pictures

Richard asks…
How to determine if you have bacterial vaginosis?
For a while now i’ve had milky white discharge and i’ve read up on it and i think its bacterial vaginosis. But you never can tell until you see what it looks like because all types of infections has “white discharge”. i just need to know if there are any pictures available or anyway to determinewhat it is? and how to cure it? please help!!

admin answers:
I’m not sure if that’s bacterial vaginosis. If it has a fishy smell, then it is bacterial vaginosis.
A few other symptoms includes vaginal itching and irritation. If you notice these symptoms, you need to cure it asap.
I read a document earlier that gave advice on curing bacterial vaginosis naturally.
I’ll leave a link to the document below.
Hope this helps…

but will these pills help maintain the good bacteria in my vagina? .. its kinda hard to find plain yogurt =

admin answers:
This might sound gross but it works, in the night time put a spoonful of plain yogurt up there (use a large syringe) and wear a pad to bed, the bacteria in the yogurt really helps maintain the proper bacteria there. It is a lot cheaper then buying pills all the time

I actually have the same problem as you when I get frequent yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis back and forth and it is really frustrating. The acidophilus pills work great though but it will not cure it. The medicine the actually really helped me is called Cleocin and it was prescribed by my Gyno. It’s a vaginal suppository and it cleans out everything. Another good product to keep the hormonal balance in your vagina is called RePhresh. Its great and you can buy it over the counter, although I wouldn’t use it until the vaginosis and yeast infections are gone. As for the acidophilus take those 2-3 times a day. Hope this helps! And if you need to talk more you can email me!
Ps. My gyno told me that acidophilus help with the good bacteria in the vagina!

George asks…
OMG!!!AM I INFERTILE!!!?
ok i had trich back in 05,, chlamydia in 05, then had a completely healthy baby and pregnancy and i mean absolutely perfect my son is extremely smart. then i had chlamydia in 2008 then 2009 both in February and then bacterial vaginosis like 4 months ago. I never have cramps or pains and all my periods are normal and i had the kind of ultrasound that they stick up your vagina and the dr said everything is normal. but it doesn’t seem possible and why didn’t she show me pictures! im really scared i wont have kids again.. and no i wasn’t a whore i was with my child’s father since 2006 and he really was a scum bag but we are completely over. i don’t want kids now but i do later! is anyone infertile? did u feel pain? please help!!!

admin answers:
I think your getting a little paranoid. If you treated the chlamydia and B.V. Then you should be able to have children, you all ready have one healthy baby so you should be able to have another healthy child.
I’m not infertile but I do have a chromosome defect which prevents me from carrying a pregnancy.
If you really want to know about your fertility status or issues then you should see a fertility specialist, that is how I found out about my chromosome defect. I had about 4 miscarriages before I went and found out what was going on and now I have decided that maybe kids are not meant to happen for me.

Donald asks…
Is this a recurring yeast infection or something else?
I’ve been having yeast infection symptoms for about a year or so, but I was too embarassed to go to the doctor. At least I THOUGHT it was a yeast infection, until I searched pictures of what it might look like on a person, and I don’t have any of that rash-looking irritation, it’s just, well. yeast. I’m seventeen and I started having sex frequently the beginning of this year (same partner). I did end up working up the courage to tell my mom about the infection (but not about the sex…) and I’ve now been treated for a yeast infection 3 times. Not consecutively, but it came back after like a month. I am currently on birth control, so I’m not sure if that is affecting it, but I also suspect that this may not be a yeast infection, that it might be bacterial vaginosis, because I only have a milky-ish, thick discharge, and my ex boyfriend always told me it smelled. Like fish. What is this? And what should I tell my doctor?

admin answers:
You need to see a doctor to get tested. I have had recurring bacterial infections for years and recently have been told by a few people that it is most likely the way I used to wash my vagina…I’d use soap and sometimes it would get into my vagina therefore throwing off the PH level and making me more susceptible to infections whenever bacteria was introduced into my vagina via oral sex or regular intercourse. So if you are washing with soap you may want to stop using it IN your vagina…instead wash the outer part with your vagina with summers eve feminine soap and spread your lips and wash with water ONLY….IF your problem is bacterial infections then this may be your answer.
Good luck
